Another con has come and gone. It was fun, but could have gone better.

I wound up going with my mom, which was nice. My mom's kinda my bff. Though I was originally going with my friend Timkin, who was going because my boyfriend couldn't go (no money). Then something came up and Tim couldn't go. So my mom came. My only complant is when she comes, it's harder to connect and talk to other otaku. I feel bad when I leave her on her own at these things.



Day 1:
Dealer room was my first stop. I bought quite a bit. I'm a little embaressed. But hey, I may not be able to do it for much longer. I got...

Phew, I payed for half of that. My mom likes anime too, so she chipped in. I owe her of course. She bought a ds case and a purse from the artist alley, and some boxset about cat maids. The title escapes me.

We eventually left the dealer room. lol After all the shopping we went to the perkins next door. I heard lots of people badmouthing the con attendees, which pissed me off. Never knock my hobby/life. I wasn't dressed, so I held my tongue.

Went back, and wandered. Did some random panels. Then it was Karaoke time. It was so fun to watch. Though I failed horribly. My favs: Lupin who rocked every song he tryed. Pyramid Head singing the AzuManga theme. SO AWESOME!
Worst memory: Sailor Venus singing my fav. Inuyasha theme. This MAN insists on ruining everything I like. The next he ruined my favorite Sailor Scout, Mars.

I then was in the Otaku Olympics. I could have taken or left that.

Day 2:
I helped out at the Cat Cafe for two hours, then I went back home to change into my Rena costume for the Masquerade. I was happy that a few people knew who I was.
I sat in the green room for like an hour and a half. So boring, at least I had Akane (Ranma 1/2) to talk to. Then the masquerade began. I was at the beginning, and had to follow an awesome 'Code Geass' skit, a tough act to follow indeed. And I was the first walk on. Long story short, I did awful.

After that, I was starving. So my mom and I did Perkins again, it was either that or BK. I went in with full costume and got major stares. I don't mind being looked at, but there are some stares I won't take...
Some of you may know my brother is Autistic, so I'm use to being stared at. But there are some looks that set me off, and I got one. So I went off on these people, causing a scene. I'm so embrassed now. But of course my mom comes to my defense, though I was still wrong.

Then I went home. I was so beat.

There was no day 3. They didn't have anything good planned, so I skipped it and slept in. Then I went to Chris (bf)'s house. Which was great, I haven't gotten to see very much of him lately. We watched AzuManga Daioh, even his little brothers liked it.

Side notes:

+Real cats hate when you wear cat ears. (at least my cat does)
+Final Fanasty girls in skimpy outfits almost always when.
+If I didn't have a boyfriend, I would've totally snagged Lupid and Pyramid's number. lol XD
+Otaku Omaha is slowy going down hill.
